Dropping The Bombs

“Have a seat,” Jordan motioned towards the couch as he guided me to the armchair. “Can I get you anything to drink?”

While Zach and I told him we were good, Mary gazed up at him in an almost wishful fashion as she asked him, “Were my eyes deceiving me, or do you really have Nestle Quik on your kitchen counter?”

“The syrup stuff?” He asked while making his way over to the kitchen’s entrance to check. “Yes,” he smiled. “We have both chocolate and strawberry – did you want one?”

“Yes!” Mary exclaimed with child-like excitement as she slapped her hands together in glee. “Both, please.” Her eyes lit up, “Oh! Do you have ice cream?” She went on to tell us how ‘yummy’ a chocolate/strawberry syrup milkshake would be. “Of course,” she sighed. “It would be better with chocolate chips and real strawberries in there as well….mmmmmm.”

“Do you really think all that sugar is…?”

Mary cut Zach off with just one look.

“Last night you said you couldn’t sleep because of all the sugar you ate…” He shrugged. “Have what you want.”

Jordan, who had been hovering in the doorway of the kitchen, took that as a sign to go ahead and make the shake for Mary. Ten minutes later, Jordan entered the living room with two large glasses full to the rim with milkshake.

“Looked really good,” he whispered to me as he lowered himself down onto the floor in front of my armchair and proceeded to take a mouthful of the shake before offering his glass to me. “Want some?”

Although I had to admit that the shake looked good, I wasn’t feeling that hot, I felt bloated and a little cranky. With a hand pressed gently against my stomach, I told him no. “But,” I turned my attention to my surly brother and his ice cream giddy wife. “I would like to know what brought you two here tonight? Were you in town for dinner or something?”

Mary shook her head as Zach said ‘no’.

“Worried I was corrupting your sister?” Jordan joked before adding. “She’s the corruptor, just so you know.”

“Whatever!”

Tilting his head back, he gave me one of his oh-so-sexy, extremely danger to my composure, grins. “You know it’s true Babe, you’ve turned my world upside down since the moment I met you.”

I was incapable of saying anything, his grin combined with his touching words tugged at my heart and he knew it. Normally it would bug me if a guy knew this but, like most things, I’ve been coming to realize I didn’t mind Jordan knowing anything about me. In fact, it made me feel all the more secure and happy in our relationship.

“That’s so sweet!” Mary gushed before slapping Zach on the leg and demanding to know why he never said stuff like that to her anymore.

“When do I get the chance?” Zach asked softly. “You shove me away whenever I try.”

“I wasn’t talking sex!” She hissed.

“Neither was I,” he replied. With a sigh he sunk back into the cushions on the couch, his eyes never once leaving Mary’s. “My life would be nothing without you, you know that.”

Silence settled around the living room. Zach and Mary sat locked in a staring contest of sorts while Jordan seemed oblivious to what was going on as he happily ate his shake. I, on the other hand, wanted to say something – anything – to make things right between my brother and his wife. But what could I say?

In the end, I would remain silent but it didn’t matter, Mary had it all under control. “Shake?” She moved her straw aside to stir the shake with the spoon Jordan provided for her before offering her glass to Zach.

At first he was hesitant, the look on his face wasn’t one of a man who wished to subject himself to a taste test, although, moments later he took a deep breath and the spoonful of shake Mary offered him. “Mmmm,” he nodded a fake smile on his face but he turned his head sideway, and cringed as he swallowed.

“Want more?” Mary asked eagerly.

“No, no.” Zach waved his hand. “Go ahead; I wouldn’t want to take from you and the baby.”

Mary didn’t argue, she shrugged and continued slurping back the shake. “Tell them why we are here.”

****

The pain I had felt earlier was exactly what I feared it would be and like every other time my period came, it hurt. Curled up in the fetal position on Jordan’s bed, I was waiting for him to finish his shower and join me. It had been an eventful day and Zach’s arrival at Jordan’s house that night proved to be the icing on the cake.

Movement on the bed behind me, alerted me to Jordan’s presence moments before his arm draped around my waist and his mouth pressed against my shoulder. “Hey Babe,” he murmured. “You know all this talk of….”

Frowning, I glanced over my shoulder to where he lay frozen with his hand covering mine as it rested on my belly. “Jordy?”

“No, no, no…” He shook his head, his fingers tapping on my hand. “Please tell me….”

“Tell you what?” I turned his way.

“Hand…belly….” He muttered ‘no, no, no’ again.

“Jor-“

“Damnit!” He cursed. “I’m too late, there’s no love for me tonight.”

Despite the sadness in his voice, I chuckled. “Sorry Babe, I can’t help it.”

“I know,” he sighed as he rolled away. “Mother Nature is a bitch some times.”

Laughing, I told him he could’ve had some loving the night before, “But you missed out.” Playing with the blankets I told him he shouldn’t have been so pissy.

“Pissy?” He scoffed and slipped out of bed.

“Jordan?” I called after him but he walked out of the bedroom without looking back.

If I wasn’t in so much pain, I would’ve been kicking myself in the ass but as it was, the mental ass kicking I was giving myself was almost as bad as the real thing. How could I have been so stupid? I wanted to know. Why did I have to bring up the night before? What did I think he would do? Laugh it off and tell me I was right, he was being an ass.

No, I lectured myself. You were the one being an ass.

Either way, it didn’t matter, Jordan was upset with me, once again and there wasn’t anything I could do about it. I started to feel that I was destroying everything I held dear when the bed shifted under Jordan’s weight.

I didn’t realize I was holding my breath until something very warm brushed against my hand. “I’m sorry,” I blurted out as he leaned in over me.

“You don’t have to be sorry Anna,” he replied as he lifted my hand from my belly, pressed a hot water bottle against it and settled down behind me. “I knew it was going to happen soon, I just hoped I would have another night, that’s all.”

A single tear drop rolled from my eye. “You aren’t mad at me for what I said?”

“What?” He kissed my shoulder. “The pissy comment?” I nodded and he chuckled. “No Anna, I’m not mad about that. I’m angrier with myself than anything else right now.”

“Well, that’s –“

“Unless,” he cut me off. “You count Heather. I’m furious with her at the moment.”

“What??” I tried to turn towards him but he held me tight. “Why? You didn’t even speak to her tonight, did you?”

“No,” He admitted. “I was too pissed off after last night’s conversation to talk to her tonight.”
Once again, I asked him why. “What did she say Jordy?”

With a sigh, he told me that he believed it was time for him to find a lawyer. “I really didn’t want to do that but…” He groaned. “I may have to.”

It took little prompting for Jordan to tell me that Heather told him the night before that she would be home on Thursday so she would be picking up Jenna. “I told her that was fine, I knew she missed Jenna. I jokingly told her that it would be difficult for me to let her take Jenna but at least it wouldn’t be for too long, I would be picking her up on Friday at my normal time.”

“Right,” I nodded when he paused. “So what was the problem?”

“She told me that Jenna wasn’t going to come over this weekend because she wanted to spend time with her. I mentioned that it was my time, like we agreed months ago but she told me it was too bad because I had her all this time while they were visiting Hank’s family.” As he spoke, he became irate. “It’s not my fault Hank had to go home and they didn’t take Jenna. I told her this and she told me that she didn’t have to let me see Jenna at all!”

“What?” I managed to turn this time. “What is that supposed to mean? She would try to keep Jenna from you? That’s not right.”

“I know!” He exclaimed. “I’m her daddy and I have rights! I told Heather this but she said that my rights are whatever she says they are and she is keeping Jenna until next Friday – if she lets me take her then!”

I was too shocked to even speak.

“I told her she was wrong, she didn’t have the right to tell me when I could and couldn’t see my daughter because I have rights, damnit!” He went on to tell me that Heather started to freak out on him and somehow she brought up that if he wanted to see Jenna again he would shut up or the only way he would see her is in court. His whole body shook as he told me that Heather screamed Hank was a better daddy for Jenna and she would see to it that he never saw her again if that’s the way he wanted to be.

“I don’t want to go through a custody battle Anna, I just want to see my daughter but I’m afraid that won’t happen if I let Heather pick her up tomorrow.”

Completely blown away, that’s how I felt. I tried to make sense of everything he was saying but nothing seemed to come together. I didn’t understand how Heather could’ve done a complete turn around when it came to Jordan and Jenna, she seemed happy that they were spending time together. I asked if she said anything else but he shook his head. “She just told me to have her ready tomorrow.”

“What are you going to do?”

He sighed. “What choice do I have, really? Heather is Jenna’s legal guardian and I don’t have anything.”

“Are you going to change that?”

“I didn’t want to drag Jenna through that.”

“But?”

“But I have no choice, if Heather tries to keep me from my daughter, I’ll fight her every step of the way. I will not miss a second more than I already have. I can’t, I love her too much to let her go.”

An uneasy silence settled over the bedroom as Jordan and I drifted off into our own thoughts. I was outraged for all the hurt that Heather managed to cause Jordan with just one simple phone call. All I could think was that she wasn’t going to get away with it, Jordan wouldn’t lose his little girl, not if I could help it. I went to tell him I would be there for him, no matter what when he broke the silence.

“I can’t believe your brother didn’t tell you about your inheritance before.”

“What?” I stared at him. “Where did that come from?”

“I don’t know,” he shrugged. “I was just thinking about character witnesses – people who could attest to me being a great daddy. Zach, having known me all my life and being a respectable member of society, would be a great character witness. Well, that got me thinking about why they were here tonight.” He gazed at me. “I can’t believe your brother kept your inheritance from you.”

Neither could I. When Zach handed me a bank cheque for $50,000 I told him there was no way I was taking his money. “We can do this on our own,” I insisted.

“I know,” he had replied. “But this money isn’t from me, it’s from your part of the money mom and dad left us.”

I gasped, “Mom and dad?” Glancing at Jordan, I couldn’t believe it. “How…?”

“They had insurance,” he told me. “Plus the money from the civil suit filed against the driver that killed them.” He ran a hand over his face and told me it wasn’t all the money. “There is still a little in trust for you for when you turn 25.”

“How much is a little?” Jordan asked as he drew the straw into his mouth.

“$250,000,” Zach stated.

“$250,000?” Jordan squeaked as his mouthful of shake went down the wrong way.

Zach nodded solemnly. “Yes.”

“Then…?” I motioned towards the cheque, not really sure what I was asking.

“I knew you had the money for your house, I just thought you might need a little something for minor reno or many even decorating.” He grinned. “I know how you love to decorate Anna.”

Good Afternoon Everyone

This post took a while for me to write an post because of things that were going on in my real life. In the last couple weeks one of my aunts died, I had to handle some business for my mom while she was back home for the funeral, I received bad news about my car and about my work. But, on the plus side, I met a guy who actually calls ~L~ so it can't be all bad, right?

I hope you are all having a great weekend.

Wow, Anna. Once again I am happily impressed by your post and the storyline. Kudos to a good job!

Can't wait to read more.

Great post, but even more importantly, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles right now. I hope everything works out for you really soon. Hope you get some good news to counteract the bad. Keep your head up, Angela.

If this custody thing has any grounds in real life, get a really good lawyer and fight hard. We just went through it for two and a half years to find out through a paternity test that my fiancee isn't her (Jenna- weird, huh!) father. Thousands of dollars, lots of heartache, and untold stress later, we have nothing to show for it.

Sorry everyone, I've been MIA for a while I know and I meant to post something before it happened but there really wasn't much time. I guess that's what happens when you decide at the last minute to throw caution to the wind and take off on a road trip with someone you don't know ~l~ I'm back now and I'm trying to tie up this story...then again, I've been trying to do that for over a year now ~sigh~ New post...by the end of the week...hopefully. Have a great day everyone.

Glad you are back!! I'm thinking there is still too much story left to tell to tie it up anytime soon! :)

Yes. No tieing up anytime in the near (or far) future. :) I love this story! I am glad you are back and I hope you had a blast on your road trip! :)

i wish you would tie it up. this is getting irritating. the characters are getting more and more annoying. take anna's family for example, it use to be sweet that they looked out for her but now it's over bearing and ridiculous. anna is no longer sassy and sweet....she's getting the most annoying.

To the Anonymous person, if you dislike it that much don't read anymore!!! The rest of us love the story and don't need you trying to ruin it!!

I like this story, a have enjoyed reading it for a long time now. The irritating part is forgetting whats going on in the story due to one or two posts a month if that.
Everyone understands that life gets in the way, but its kinda getting borderline ridiculous.
But your writing is good and your blogs are interesting.
I hope you keep writing Angela.

this is ridiculous... i agree with everything ally said. angela- you are an exceptional writer and i understand that things get in the way... but i hardly even remember any of the story now and have no desire to check for a new post everyday for another month... hopefully i will change my mind and keep checking til there is a new post but as of now thank you for sharing your extremely talented writing skills. take care

So, here's the deal.....I get that you have real life stuff going on, no one expects you to drop everything to humor us....HOWEVER, it's a little off putting for you to come back and say there will be a post by the end of the week and then disappear again.

Angela, you've developed quite a following here and that's an amazing thing. And I think that since you do have so many loyal readers that we atleast deserve an ending. I'm not trying to sound like a bitch or anything but this is just a tad annoying. You can't say that you haven't enjoyed having so many people read and love your writing, ya know? And even though real life gets in the way, maybe you should do one or two more posts just to end the story so we can have closure.

Here is closure as I doubt we'll get it any time soon.

Jordan just inherited a ton of money. So did Anna. They'll buy the house they want, redecorate it how they want, half way through anna will realize she's pregnant, Jordan will propose and Unicorns and Rainbows will fly through the sky in delight.

I understand real life. I have my own blog and a few of my own followers and have posted to them when it'll be a while (or will contact one to let the rest know whats up). Im not perfect with updating, but if I tell them I'll get a post up sooner or later, even if its just a line or two to explain my absense, I do.

And its never for a boy. Maybe its because I'm in an adult relationship and my world doesn't stop because Im with someone. Or maybe because I can handle stress better (before you give another excuse, I've had people in and out of town, have been told I needed to find a new apartment because I Have dogs, have been house hunting, have been working 10-12 hour days at work trying, not to mention giving three border collies the attention they need and training they need, one of them only 10 wks old, etc).

And Im sure all of your readers have a ton going on in their own lives but they still find the time to keep up with the blog and comment.

I dont know. I guess Im just annoyed with the overwhelming sense of "its me against the world" that I feel from many of the excuses the readers receive

A month and a half is quite a long time in the blogosphere. I for one, though I mean no disrespect to the author or her blog, have removed this from my 'to check daily' list. Bit it's disappointing to have come this far then be ignored. As for the June 5th anonymous commenter, I agree. We all have busy lives. I'll get back to mine now...

Anonymous said...

I think not getting a new post and reading the nasty comments instead might be more entertaining then a new post would be!

Anonymous said...

I don't think the comments are nasty. I think they are just the opinions and insights of people who feel put off.

I know I'm annoyed at the writers obvious lack of respect for her readers.

There [were] a lot of people on here who respected her decision to write and encouraged her, greatly, from the get go. I feel she's lost the respect of a good handful for what seems like an onslaught of continuous excuses. These same people would probably respect her more if she just ended the blog saying she didn't have the time, rather than offer false hope and excuses about just how hard her life is. She seems more interested in fleeting romances than with something of substance (the proof there is going on a road trip with a person she barely knows mixed in with her character. after all, we write what we know? right? and The character Anna would do that too. Become wholly absorbed in a new relationship disregarding as much of her life as she can afford?).

And sorry, if that seems cruel, or what, but what is the point of coddling someone who is, realistically, a complete stranger. I don't even coddle people I know because I think it makes them weak. Can't handle people who dont agree? Who have opinions you may not like? Don't join the sea that holds THOUSANDS of bloggers. Bloggers will admit that some opinions are quick to cut, but they are strong enough to ignore it and move on. Those who aren't? Well they stp blogging.

If this person ever actually WANTED to write a book? Well the excuses wouldn't be tolerated AND she'd have to learn how to take some VERY harsh critism. The blog, in a sense, is just another generic love story.

For me and form many other readers (especially those who started reading in the first few months, I think...) the issue is not when is Angela going to post. I think what plenty of us wonder about is whether she's doing fine or not, since we know her life isn't always as smooth as one would like.

So Angela, take your time, and I hope you're fine!!

Anonymous said...

I have been readingthis blog since the very first months and I happen to disagree with DDgirl. Everyone's life is busy and gerenally not as smooth as anyone of us would like. I'm not saying that I don't care if Angela is ok, but we don't really know her and the comments from the anonymous posters June 5th and June 8th have very valid points. If you have been reading this blog for over 2 years then you are pretty well hooked into the storyline and it is poor form to just stop posting or to make excuses and then say a post will be up and not follow through.

I used to think that Angela could have turned this into a good book- and I would've bought it, but I agree that from what we've seen here, she wouldn't be able to handle the deadlines and criticism.

It's hard to be interested when the writing and posting has dropped off significantly and for the past year (or more) and has continued to drop off despite the author's statements or promises of a schedule or semi-regular posting.

nearly 2 months between posts, I'd say the blog is done and just didnt have the time/energy or consideration if the readers to tie the story up or at least an announcement as to the end of the blog. I get she started the blog for her and she can stop it whenever but I think the way this is going shows a lack of respect for her following of readers.

A disappointed Anna fan from the early months,

T

Anonymous said...

We should all write what we each think the ending would turn out like and leave it at that.

Even if she does come back, it will be with some bullshit post and then she will promise to post again next week and it will never happen.

I say lets write our own ending!!

Anonymous said...

I agree. DD, I've read this from the first post. While many can surely sympathise with a hectic life, I have found the opposite of what you said to be true. Its not that I dno't hope for her or ANYONE's well being, but we ALL have trials and tribulatons, and I'm sorry but from what I GET about the author between her posts and her comments are what I stated previously - It feels like more of a "poor me" issue than reality. Im not saying she hasn't fought trying times. But who of us HAVEN'T in the past two years?

I don't think she handles stress well and I think she comes across as codependent when it comes to relationships. This is what I've gotten from her writing and comments. I don't know her personally, but her character is definitely codependent and I think we can all notice that she takes a lot of her real life into the characters.

Part of me wonders if she is in a relationship and just doesn't care anymore and part of me wonders if she THOUGHT she was going into one and it didn't work out and now she's licking her wounds. Of course there is the family stuff and all that that she's expressed but again, we ALL have to deal with that. I have to, Im sure others on here do. Life isn't easy.

Regardless, she has shown little respect to her readers for the past few months.

I, too, have been reading since the very beginning. As a matter of fact, I can remember when I was the ONLY one who posted on this blog offering words of encouragement. The blog has become very boring as of late, and no I don't have to read it but I felt a pull towards finding some resolution to the storyline. I would be lieing if I said I wasn't more than a little disappointed in the way this has turned out, but as one other poster has said, both Anna and Jordan have inherited a bunch of money, are happily together and looking for a house. The rest can pretty much be surmised. If anyone read the DOH or DOV, now THAT was a really sucky ending, but at least they let us know and we can leave the open end to our own imaginations. I have enjoyed reading all of Anna's blogs but the time to say goodbye has come. Good luck to you Anna and whatever your future holds. Take care.

I think I speak for everyone who has read this blog from start to finish: it would be great if you came on the comments section and indicated what you planned to do with this blog. Is it finito? Are you going to come back at some point to finish it? I check on occasion, but never find anything new except more comments. I know life happens- so if you could write a sentence or two to let us know either way that would be great.

Thanks

I forgot about this blog. I used to check in everyday. But weeks upon weeks of no updates, I lost interest. And forgot to get it. I was cleaning out bookmarks and then remembered it. Things are bad here...I don't have the time or energy to even look at my computer. I wish it were as simple as 'boy trouble' which someone assumed it was but it's not. There is more to my life than that and it's the more that's kicking me down and making it difficult to think about anything else but solving those issues.

I know that everyone has issues and everyone deals with them in their own ways. I can't push them aside and 'forget' long enough to make a sensible post - I tried and the post really sucked.

So, until I sort out what's going on here, there will be nothing new posted. If you are around when I post again, then we'll both be lucky. If not, then I can't say I blame you.

Not trying to sound unsympathetic, but in my opinion Angela/Anna's comment is another "woe is me, pity me" excuse. At least it is what we have asked for, an update stating the (supposedly temporary) end of the blog.

A personal note, don't assume that others just "forget" the life issues that go on in their lives because they can focus on something other than the harsh reality around them. You can't focus on anything else and that's okay. I'm not even remotely pretending that I could know what issues you are facing or that I am insinuating that my issues are worse, but it's not statistically likely that you are facing the worst circumstances ever and your comment hit a nerve with me because it seemed as though you were im[lying that you were better in a way because other people can just forget the bad issues in their life. I can tell you first hand that you don't forget, but you make the effort to focus on something else because if you don't then you become all consumed by the horrible issues in your life and that leaves you with no escape or release and probably very depressed.

This comment is made respectfully and not intended to be attacking or hurtful. I simply feel that I want to share my thoughts as a reader for more than 2 years.

I've started to read both The Karen Chronicles and the Fifteenmiles one.

Ok, It's been over three months since the last update. Do you all think she will ever finish this? Or are we crazy to keep checking?

Hello everyone I just wanted to let you all know that no, you aren't crazy for checking or hoping for a new post. It's good to know that there are those out there who understand and don't judge me too harshly for having to postpone writing for a while.

I wish I could tell you that a post will be up soon but dispite my best efforts all the writing I've attempted to do lately has been complete crap. I haven't given up though and I hope to get back into the groove of things soon.

Again, thanks for checking back and for caring, you'll never know how much that means.

Have a great day!
Angela

Same here. As much as I miss the story, I know that life happens. I hope it all works out for you Angela, and that you can get back to smooth sailing really soon. I've been a fan since the beginning, and I'm gonna continue to be one. I, too, keep checking daily and get that little twinge of happiness when I see that there is another comment added here.

As was said above, it is very good to hear from you and know that you haven't forgotten or abandoned this blog. That makes me keep an open mind about you and your story. I appreciate you not just up and leaving it alone, despite the other comments.

Thank you, Angela!

Angela,

I recently discovered this blog and have spent the past few days reading all 402 entries. I just have to tell you how much I loved this story. I was so hooked, I would be up late into the night, telling myself that each entry would be the last one, I needed to go to bed and then I would have to read one more and then one more. You are a wonderful writer and storyteller.

I love all the characters, I want them to be real! I love Anna, I want Zach to be my big brother and Nick and Mike to be my friends and who wouldn't want Jordan to be their soul mate. So thank you for writing and sharing this story. I have enjoyed it so much. I would love to hear about them moving and Jordan proposing and maybe Anna finally getting a baby of her own.

I am sad that you have not been able to continue with the posts but I will keep watching and hoping for more.

Best Wishes to You,
Katie

P.S. My favorite entry is "Talking to Jenna". I will re-read that one many times.

Beautifully said Readgirl! I continue to check up on this blog every week or so in hopes there is a new entry.

Angela, hope all is going well with you! You're loyal readers are still here and anxious for more!

Is this ever going to start again? So many of the blogs I read are either not posting as much, or are quitting, or thinking about quitting. Anyone know any good blogs to read?

Hello Mum, how are you?

Sandy

mum said...

Hey, Sandy. Doing well. Can't believe I'm knee deep in school with the kids already and we're headed towards fall. But, bummin because of what's going on over at Fifteen Miles from Utopia. Val's got some serious anger going on and I don't know if she's going to continue the blog. Would be a shame. If you know of anymore "story" type blogs, fiction or nonfiction, let me know. Blessings to all. mum

Sandy said...

Why do people have to make nasty comments? If you don't like something, don't go back. Who cares about punctuation, spelling or incorrect grammar mistakes? This isn't school, but some people act like it's grade school. Can you tell I'm aggravated?
I wish Anna would come back to this blog. It's been way over 4 months, I really like it and hope she continues it. Oh well.......

Anonymous said...

This really has been a bad summer for blogs. I was a reader of V from the beginning, then E and He.. Fifteen miles looks like its dead.. AUS also apears dead , no word from Rika in over a year.. I did find blg that is really good. Its written by a guy, not really 'lovey' type stories, but decent stuff. And he has been around for a few years. The link is http://pointmeister.blogspot.com/ Check out Quill and Quire,, and Ms Graya nd Mr Black is pretty good. Lots of fiction on that site.

Dicia said...

Wow, you leave the fictional blogosphere for a while (ok, loooong while) and you come back to...very little left...what happened to everyone? I had a blog "It could have happened". I actually still have it, and was thinking of picking it up again...would anyone read it? i'm torn.
And no, Angela, not trying to replace you or anything,or steal your fans, and I am sorry to hear you are doing so badly...take it from me, a chick who had to take a 2 year sabatical. If you just don't have it in you to write then you just don't have it...I totally feel yah on that. if you did ever come back I am sure we would all still be here.

For those of you who are rechecking and rechecking blogs, I suggest googlereader. It helps you know when your blogs update, I love it, as I follow ALOT of blogs and the updates are sent right to my googlereader like an e-mail.

Godspeed Angela.

Hi Angela,
First i want to say thanks for writing this. you are very good and i love this story. I spend the last week catching up and was totally taken in. As a mom i think i cried thru the whole "jesse" story. I love how you made all the characters relatable (is that a word?)So thank you.
To the anon who "ended" the story you left out too much, like what house did they get out of the three? where did nick and amy end up? what did mary have boy/girl? what about cassie and ben and the singer she likes toby (i think)? what about josh and custody? or Jordan and his custody of Jenna? No sorry I am not ready to leave, Angela can't wait to hear where this is going...until you get your life in order take care, and i'll keep checking! Besides it will make a great re-read!

Hey Mum..and all the other lovely ladies on this site. I got a new computer and I'm still trying to get all my "favorites" back and kind of (sorry Angela) forgot about this site.....the other day I actually went to the Diary of He site and left a message there hoping someone would respond. I'm dead in the water for new blogs. I do wish Angela well and hope she comes back soon. I too was a Fifteen Miles groupie until the rug was pulled out from underneath us........now the comments are shut off and I can't talk to all you guys.....which is the worst part. I'm not sure what the hell happened to Val......she's gone off the deep end or something...so it's probably for the best she quit writing because if I got one more scolding from her, I would have stopped reading any ways. Oh well...Angela I hope you are doing better and getting back on track. I hope all you ladies are doing great and just like all the other requests prior.....I'm on the hunt for some more blogs to read. :) Take care everyone!! Kaboodall

I have made a decision to continue with "It Could Have Happened". After 2 long years, I am going to bring it back. Hope to see you all there. I will begin posting again Weds. Sept. 23rd. If you have not read this blog before here is the link you can get caught up,or for those of you who were readers you can refresh yourselves on the story line here:

Lets keep fiction blogs alive!

Hey, Kaboodall! Have you found these two? thekarenchronicles.blogspot.com and nothingmorethanapathy.blogspot.com?
They've both been going on for a few months now. I'm totally hooked on the first one and just got caught up on the 2nd and it has potential. Also is diaryofj1.blogspot.com. I've been following that, too. Hope to see you there! mum

Oh wow, what a wonderful story. I swear I've done nothing but read your blog with my free time the past couple weeks until I was all caught up. Awesome well built characters. I was a Josh/Anna fan at the start, but now love her with Jordy and couldn't imagine her back in Josh's arms, but I bet you could persuade me if the story goes back down that route. I also could see Anna getting into some trouble if she takes the hotel job too. :)

Thanks for the entertaining and well written story!

Kaboodall said...

Thanks Mum and Dicia! I will check these blogs out for sure! Hope to see you there!!

Angela,

I hope you don't mind me doing this.

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm starting a blog. It'll be my first one for stories, but I'm excited. Hopefully you all will enjoy reading it if you do decide to. I'm going to be posting whenever I have the time to, mostly on weekdays. The story is already written, but the way is written is in play/script format, so I'm having to do some revamping of it before I can really post it.

But, whether I get readers or not, I'm still gonna post it. If you want, you can check it out here

I hope you like it...

Do any of you think Fifteen Miles will ever come back? I'm ready to take it off my favorites list.

mum said...

I don't know - Valerie was having some big-time personal stress and who fanbase grew so quickly that I think she was overwhelmed. It is such a great story it would be a shame. I haven't removed it yet. Heck, I still have this one on my favorites and check daily. mum

Sandy said...

Well, if Angela doesn't come back, at least we have picked up a few new ones to read. I really wish Fifteen Miles would come back, it was a great story.
Mum thanks for giving us links to new ones to read. I'm really liking Lady's blog.

But I just wanted to say to those who are following me: THANK YOU!!! I didn't realize how good it would feel to see that. I have 5 wonderful followers!!! I'm so ecstatic about that.

THANKS again!!!

Hi Angela,

I hope you are doing ok, could you let us know? I know everyone is worried about you. As for the blog, I'm still checking every day and looking forward to a new post. Anna has started to invade my dreams, I keep coming up with possible endings. A wedding, a pregnancy, she wakes up and is really only 8 years old and her parents are picking her up from Zack and Mary's place.

Best wishes,
E-

Hey everyone, I recently found this blog and am so sad that it doesn't have an ending! Hopefully it will start up again soon in full force. I <3 Jordy!

In the meantime, I also just started a blog (today) about getting ready to go to college for the second time, and moving back in with my parents: http://movingbacktomassachusetts.blogspot.com/. If anyone wants to check it out, I'm hoping that having the blog will help me keep sane during the craziness that will be my life for the next few years!

Angela said...

Hello Everyone

I'm so glad that everyone is sharing links to new blogs and using this comment section to communicate with each other. It's good to know that there is something good to coming from this even when I'm unable to post.

On that, if you have read my personal blog before, especially the last entry, you might remember me rambling on and on about my sisters and their kids always here, leading to me not sleeping at all. Well, believe it or not, it has gotten worse. At the end of May one of my sisters lost full custody of her four kids, ages 7 to 1 year. My mom has partial custody so the kids are living here. Everyday I struggle to remain sane and sleep through screaming kids and arguing adults. It hasn't been working. I'm drained emotionally, mentally and physically. That's why I've been unable to write. I want to but everytime I try to slip into Anna's story, I start to nod off or have to listen to screaming outside my door.

I'm holding onto the hope that things will change. I have too, otherwise I'll go completely insane and the only stories I'll be telling is to the shrink assigned to me.

And I really, really don't want that. I hate talking about me.

So, I'll keep trying to escape this reality and find Anna's to share with all of you. And I hope you all continue to believe in Anna and me.

Have a good day.

Thank you,
Angela

Angela - wonderful to hear from you. I appreciate where you're coming from. I find myself staying up late in front of the tv after everyone goes to bed just to have ME time. Just flicking through the channels aimlessly. Not productive at all. I didn't realize you were living at home. Or maybe I just forgot. Anyway, thanks for the update and I'm not giving up on you! mum

I'm sorry to hear about your situation and really hope that it gets better really soon. I know how it is trying to get just an ounce of peace in a crazy household. I hope things change and look up for you and your family in the very near future.

Dear Angela,

as always, I really hope things are going well for you (at least better?).
I first started reading your blog in winter (a couple weeks after you started writing, actually), and the last days snow storms (here where I live) reminded me of Anna.

I don't know if you'll ever get back to Anna's story. I just want to let you know that I skipped heartbeats over her adventures, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Whatever may happen to you, whenever you should feel down, please remember how many people you made addicted to your blog, how many happy moments you gave us.

Take care! I wish you all the best
